Hope Houston is the Associate Director & Manager of Reference Services. Her responsibilities include the coordination of library reference services, the development of policies and procedures related to reference services, personal assistance to individuals seeking information, teaching library instruction classes, coordinating the reference collection and serving as liaison to the Natural and Applied Sciences Department. Before coming to Bentley in 2008, Hope was Library Program Specialist with the Rhode Island Office of Library & Information Services where she coordinated research services to graduate library school students, professional librarians, state employees, and blind and physically handicapped residents of the state. Prior to that she was Manager of Reference Services and Coordinator of Library Instruction at Johnson & Wales University. Hope holds a B.A. in English and a Masters in Library Science from the University of Rhode Island.

Margarita Alicea-Saez

Manager of Operations for Academic Technology, the Library, and Online Learning

Margarita Alicea-Saez is Manager of Operations for Academic Technology, the Library, and Online Learning. She provides ongoing operational and budgetary support, as well as project management expertise for the various initiatives at the ATC, library, and in Bentley's hybrid online learning programs. She works extensively in managing vendor relationships as well as with staff from a variety of Bentley's administrative departments, including Purchasing, the Budget Office, System, Networks, and Telecommunications, Client Services, and Facilities.

Margarita has more than 25 years of administrative experience in higher education, non-profit, and corporate settings. Prior to joining Bentley in 2009, she worked at Northeastern University and Framingham State College. She is a Board Member at the Metrowest Chamber of Commerce Women's Initiative, and a Steering Committee and Alumni Association Member at the Leadership Metrowest Academy. She holds an M.Ed. from Cambridge College, and is fluent in Spanish.

Jaimie Fritz

As Bentley University prepares for its Centennial celebration in 2017, Bentley Library welcomes Jaimie Fritz as our Project Archivist to organize the archives associated with the University. Jaimie comes to us from the MIT Library most recently, and before that, the Schlesinger Library at Harvard. She is very excited to help us prepare for our centennial celebration, and brings the organizational and technical skills necessary to make it a success. Jaimie received her MS in Library and Information Science (with a Concentration in Archives Management) from Simmons College, and has an undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature from Smith College. Over the next year, Jaimie will be inventorying and organizing our archives. She’ll also be creating digital exhibit around important events in Bentley history: the founding of the College, the move to Waltham, and more.

Hugh Wilburn

Manager of Access Services

Hugh Wilburn is the Manager of Access Services. His oversight of the Library Services team includes circulation, reserves, billing, interlibrary loan, shelving and stack maintenance, and the secure operation of the library for 110 hours/week during the academic year. Before joining Bentley in 2011, Hugh worked successively as head of public services, associate librarian, and librarian at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. Prior to that, he worked in access services and technical services positions in the library of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society and the libraries of Columbia University. He received his B.A. in Art History from the University of Alabama at Huntsville, and an M.L.S. from Columbia University.

Erica Brown is a Senior Library Circulation & Services Coordinator. Her responsibilities include supervising and training students, monitoring overdue notices and billing, and assisting in Reserves processing. Erica has several years of experience as a library services supervisor, having worked both at Bentley's Library and Babson's Library for a number of years. She holds a Bachelors of Accountancy, which she received from Bentley's evening program.

Rachel Ford

Rachel Ford is the Senior Library Circulation & Services Coordinator. Prior to coming to Bentley, she held a variety of administrative and management positions. Rachel received several medals for her service and operations excellence while serving six years in the Navy, where she trained and managed 15 staff as a Collection Supervisor, held a Top Secret/SCI clearance, and served as Mission Lead Operator and Trainer. An animal lover, she worked for several years as a Veterinary Technician. Rachel holds a BS in public administration from Brenau University in Gainesville, GA, and a Certificate in Language Proficiency (Arabic) from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA.

Anne Jorgensen is the Circulation & Reserves Librarian, working with Bentley faculty and staff members to support access to designated library resources in support of curriculum offerings. Anne hires and schedules the student assistants who work in the Library Services department, and shares supervisory responsibility for the students with her departmental colleagues. As a member of the Library’s assessment team Anne gathers and analyzes statistics for a variety of Library activities. Anne previously worked in Bentley Library as a Senior Library Circulation & Services Coordinator with responsibility for overseeing the Library during evenings and weekends, training and supervising student employees, and managing stack maintenance procedures. From 2005-2010, she served as a Circulation Supervisor at the Payson Library at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. As an undergraduate, Anne worked as a Library Assistant at Boston College's O'Neil Library Media Center. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Boston College and an MLS degree from Simmons College.

Emily Lorenzen is a Senior Library Circulation & Services Coordinator, and is the night supervisor for Bentley Library. Emily is a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington where she received the Bachelors in Arts in Business Economics degree. As an undergraduate Emily worked in the Mantor Library as a library assistant, and was promoted to the position of shift leader during her junior and senior years, managing the Library at night and on weekends, with responsibility for closing the Library and training new student employees. In addition to her evening supervisor responsibilities at Bentley Emily oversees shelving, stack maintenance and inventory for the Library.

Kristen Richards is the supervisor of Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery services. She has worked in libraries for over 15 years. As an undergraduate at Curry College where she pursued her B.A. in English, she worked at the Levin Library as a Library Assistant before becoming the Weekend Supervisor. Before coming to Bentley, she worked for an intellectual property law library in Boston and was also the Evening Circulation Supervisor at Boston University Law Library. She started working at Bentley in 2012 as a Senior Library Circulation & Services Coordinator and processed the Library’s interlibrary loan borrowing and lending requests.

Lisa Curtin

Lisa joined the Bentley Library as a reference librarian in 2000. As part of the reference team she enjoys providing research assistance and instruction to Bentley University students, faculty and staff at the reference desk and in the classroom. Lisa is the library liaison to faculty in the Marketing, Sociology and Psychology departments and works closely with the Corporate Immersion Institute. She performs collection development in the areas of marketing, psychology, religion and interdisciplinary behavioral sciences/social sciences and manages the library’s popular reading collections. Lisa also coordinates the library’s social media accounts, blogs, publications and displays. Lisa holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of Rhode Island. Prior to joining the Bentley Library, Lisa worked in the reference and instruction departments of university and community college libraries and as an advocate/information specialist for a variety of social service agencies.

As Reference/Cataloging Librarian, Macee divides her time between the Departments of Technical Services and Reference & Research Assistance. As Cataloging Librarian, she catalogs books for the Library's collection and works on special cataloging projects. As Reference Librarian, she provides research assistance at the Reference Desk and by appointment, and teaches classes on how to use the library's resources. She is Faculty Liaison for the Modern Languages department, and selects books and other materials in these disciplines for the library's collection.

Macee holds a B.S. in Secondary Education with a concentration in English from the University of Maine at Farmington and an MLS from Simmons College. Before coming to Bentley, she worked in the MIT Libraries and at Brandeis University.

Joining the Bentley Library in 2016, Katie Leahy is a Reference Librarian. Her responsibilities include providing research help and instruction as part of the Reference & Research Assistance department. She is the liaison to the Global Studies and Management departments. As part of her liaison responsibilities, she selects books and other materials for these subject areas. Prior to arriving at Bentley, she worked at the University of Rhode Island Library providing reference service and information literacy instruction to students, faculty, and staff. She received her undergraduate degree in English and a Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of Rhode Island.

Kim Morin

Kim joined the Reference Department in 2001. As part of the Reference team, she provides research assistance to students, faculty and staff. She teaches library instruction classes, offers workshops on specific research topics and updates many of the Bentley Library research guides. Kim acts as a liaison to the Accountancy, History and Philosophy departments and is responsible for collection development in those subject areas. She has a B.S. in History from Fitchburg State College, and Masters of Library and Information Studies from the University of Rhode Island. Recommendations for book, video, database, or journal purchases are always welcome.

Stephen is the Reference Librarian for Electronic Resources at the Bentley Library. His duties include selecting Internet resources, databases and information services for use by members of the Bentley Communitys. He maintains the Library webpage. He also provides bibliographic instruction via Library classes, the Reference Desk and by appointment. He acts as librarian liaison for International Studies, Information Design and Corporate Communication, Computer Information Systems, and Information and Process Management.

Prior to coming to Bentley he was a research assistant at the Florida Design Initiative, at the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Tallahassee, FL, and then the Coordinator of Library Services at Roxbury Community College, Roxbury, MA. He holds a B.A. in History and a M.S. in Information Studies from Florida State University.

Matthew Van Sleet

Matthew Van Sleet is a Reference Librarian and the Research Instruction Coordinator. His primary responsibilities include designing, promoting and assessing the library’s information literacy program, teaching library instruction classes, and providing research assistance to students, faculty, and staff. He is the contact person and faculty liaison for all general inquiries regarding library instruction as well as the faculty liaison to the English and Media Studies and Mathematics Departments. Matt also advises the Bentley community on copyright law and the use of copyrighted material in teaching and research. Matt was previously the Circulation and Reserves Librarian for five years where he assisted faculty and students with print and electronic reserves and circulation services. Prior to joining Bentley in 2011, Matt served as a Senior Access Services Assistant in MIT Libraries for nine years. Matt holds a B.A. in Literature from Bradford College and an MLIS from Simmons College.

Dominique Winn

Dominique Winn is a part-time Senior Reference Librarian. She has been a librarian for 11 years and enjoys working with students, staff, and faculty. Her main responsibilities are to staff the library’s reference desk during evenings and weekends. She takes a strong professional interest in educational technology and web accessibility, and enjoys reading and technical writing. Before joining Bentley, she worked at Babson College as an instructional librarian, relying on the same databases available through the Bentley Library. She received her BA in History from Georgetown University and her MSLIS from Simmons College.

Donna is the Manager of Technical Services in the library, which includes acquisitions, serials, cataloging, and processing. Her primary responsibilities are cataloging and maintaining quality control of the library catalog. Donna holds a B.A. in English and Spanish literature from Colby College and a M.S. in Library and Information Science from Simmons College. Before coming to Bentley in 2001, she was the Senior Cataloger at Emerson College, in Boston.

As the Sr. Library Tech Services Coordinator, Ashley is responsible for the Library’s book acquisitions by placing orders and receiving material. She also maintains the Library’s print periodicals collection and assists with serials processing. Prior to joining Bentley, Ashley worked in a number of small public libraries and in the museum at Lowell’s Boat Shop. She holds a B.A. in History (with a concentration in Public History) from Salem State University.

Enza Rapatano-O'Connell is the Acquisitions/Serials Supervisor in the Technical Services department of the library. Her responsibilities include the purchase, receipt, payment, processing and budget tracking of the library's capital and some operational educational materials. Enza received her B.S. in Management from Bentley and has worked in the library for more than 20 years.
