Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Interlibrary Loan allows members of the Bentley community – including faculty, staff, and currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students – to borrow books and receive articles not available at the Bentley Library. The Interlibrary Loan staff contacts other area and national libraries for the requested materials. Members of the Bentley community may also visit some area libraries directly. For further information, please refer to the frequently asked questions or contact Interlibrary Loan Monday through Friday 9AM – 5PM at interlibloan@bentley.edu or 781.891.2301.

First Time Users of Interlibrary Loan

Getting Started
All users of Interlibrary Loan must register themselves by providing contact information before submitting a book or article request for the first time. Once registration is complete, patrons can submit requests, check the status of requests, and update contact information.

  • Books: For books not available at Bentley Library, you may submit an Interlibrary Loan book request. When the book arrives, you will receive an email notification. Interlibrary Loan books are available for pick up at the Library Services desk. Books generally arrive within 9 working days.

  • Articles: Not sure whether the article might be in one of our many online databases or whether the library has a paper copy of the journal? Find out whether Bentley has access to the issue of the journal by entering the name of the newspaper, magazine, or journal here in our Full-Text Journal Finder. If the article required is not available, submit an Interlibrary Loan article request. When the article arrives, you will receive an email notice and a pdf copy of your requested article! Articles generally arrive within 3 working days.
