Residents of Waltham, MA may obtain a borrowing card from the Library Services desk on the Main Level. Proof of residency, in the form of a photo ID with a Waltham address (preferably a Massachusetts driver’s license) is required.

Waltham residents may borrow circulating books from the Stacks collection, the Oversize collection, and the Popular Reading collection for 4 weeks, with 1 renewal period. Videos/DVDs are not available for use by Waltham residents, and all other materials must be used in the Library building. Retirees from Bentley University can obtain a retiree ID card from Campus Police. Bentley retirees may borrow most materials from the Library, with the exceptions of books from the Bowles Collection, and Faculty videos/DVDs. Periodicals, reference books and items on reserve may be used in the Library. The Museum Pass program is not available for Bentley retirees, only currently employed staff members, current students and current faculty members. Alumni of Bentley University can obtain an ID card from Campus Police. Bentley alumni may borrow most materials from the Library, with the exceptions of books from the Bowles Collection, and Faculty videos/DVDs. Visiting scholars and researchers, and faculty members from other institutions may obtain a temporary borrowing card from the Library Services desk on the Main Level. Identification in the form of a photo ID issued by the applicant’s local government, and/or a photo ID from a college or university, is required.

Visiting faculty and researchers may borrow circulating and oversize books and books from the Popular Reading collection for 2 weeks, and popular videos/DVDs for 1 week.
