As Reference Librarian for Electronic Resources, Viral is the point of contact for electronic resources and supports the selection, acquisition, and online availability of library content such as databases, reports, journals, and books. He also liaises with the Academic Technology Center (ATC) and helps to maintain and develop the library’s website. His other duties include Reference, Instruction, and Collection Development for Math, Finance, and Economics.
Viral has held librarian positions covering an array of responsibilities in Technical and Collection Services, IT, and Data Management at Creighton University, The George Washington University, Marymount University, and the City of Boston. He was also employed in Academic Publishing for a short time at Springer Nature as Metadata Manager.
Viral graduated with a M.S. in Information Science from University of North Texas which focused on information organization and retrieval.
